ATLANTA -- November 1, 2007 -- The Housing Group, a premier Atlanta homebuilder, has named Steven Barlow and Kathryn Flowers as new home specialists at its Eastside Walk community. Barlow and Flowers are responsible for assessing the needs of prospective homebuyers, presenting property and welcoming new homeowners to the community.

"The professionalism, honesty and business acumen of Ms. Flowers and Mr. Barlow are welcome additions to our Eastside Walk community," said Michael Ray -- principal, The Housing Group. "In just a short time they’ve helped us recognize record sales despite the volatile housing market," he added.

Barlow and Flowers are part of a larger strategic alliance between The Housing Group and Bo Bridgeport Brokers.

Flowers became involved in the real estate industry in 2003 after working for several years as a banker and pursing an MBA degree. She also enjoyed a successful stint in the marketing department of Showtime Networks. Flowers is a member of the Atlanta Board of Realtors®, and is active in her community through involvement with the Beltline Tax Allocation District, Fulton County Personnel, Hammonds House Museum and Resource Center for African American Art.

An Atlanta native, Barlow grew up with an appreciation for the city's unique and diverse intown neighborhoods. After graduating from Clark-Atlanta University with a marketing degree, he held positions with Showtime Networks and IBM. While at IBM, Barlow was named to the top five percent of sales representatives nationwide. His first foray into real estate came in 2005 with Coldwell Banker, where he was recognized as Rookie of the Year and Buyer Agent of the Year. Mr. Barlow is an active member of the West End Neighborhood Community Association.
